The Transitional Unit

Still Waters is a transitional unit offering emergency, short and medium term placements from  hospital to home. The placement is designed as a step down from hospital and a serves as a bridge between intensive support in the community and independent living.

 

Still Waters is set in an idyllic and peaceful setting, with its own private lake; wild ducks live on the lake and deer visit the garden. The setting is tranquil and an ideal for relaxation, reflection and rehabilitation.

 

The accommodation is fully wheelchair accessible and adapted for disabled use and  provides a ground floor double bedroom with accessible, DDA compliant wet room facilities suitable for clients with mobility difficulties and wheelchair users with ceiling track hoists in situ in the main bedroom. 

 

The ground floor living space is open plan, with hard wood floors and the kitchen has rise and fall work surfaces and other adaptations to provide maximum independence for wheelchair users. There is also a guest shower room and WC on the ground floor. There are French doors leading to the private terrace, with seating for six people and uninterrupted views of the private lake.

The Support Worker Apartment

The upstairs of the property provides separate accommodation for carers or family members with caring responsibilities. There is an adjoining door leading from the ground floor sitting room in the Transitional unit to the upstairs apartment. The apartment has a spacious sitting room and dining room with a fully equipped open plan kitchen and French doors on to a small private balcony. The double bedroom has two single beds has a its own bathroom with double shower.  The apartment has its own access to Wi-Fi and digital TV.

The apartment provides on-site care accommodation with consideration given to the comfort and privacy of our clients and their carers.
